Cos Cob Man Reportedly Stumbling In Street Had Warrant For His Arrest, Police Say

A man wanted by police in Connecticut was taken into custody after he was found stumbling around a sidewalk and caused concern for passersby, investigators with the Greenwich Police Department announced.

Officers from the Greenwich Police Department were dispatched near the McDonald’s on East Putnam Avenue in Riverside at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Monday, June 17, to check on the welfare of a man in the area.

According to police, upon arrival, officers recognized the man, Cos Cob resident Martin Marusak, 47, who had an active warrant out for his arrest. Officers positively identified Marusak, who was arrested and taken to Greenwich Police Headquarters.

Marusak was charged with criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct, violating a standing criminal protective order and threatening. Marusak was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court at a later date to respond to the charges.
